No Insurance Claim Rejection Now
The insurance companies who reject claims by giving tenuous reasons to their customers are now set for scrapheap. The excuses made by the provider for claim rejection like declaration of unrelated driving offences make the insurance policy worthless for the driver.
Sometimes the customers are not able to get an insurance claim even in emergency due to the non generous claim procedure of the provider. The insurance company blames the customer for not revealing some facts to the provider which are actually not even related with the claim. While buying the policy, the customer was not even asked about the facts that create problem during the claim process.
While buying the insurance policy, the customers who compare car insurance quotes to get cheap deal do not bother about the terms and conditions of the policy. The condition of fact revelation during claim procedure is buried deep in small prints of the insurance policy. The small prints are usually not read by the customers and it drags them in problematic financial situation.
The insurers get the opportunity to refuse the insurance claim after the introduction of the Marine Insurance Act in 1906. According to this act, it is the duty of the ship owners to disclose all the relevant facts to the provider. This act became a cornerstone of the insurance law and the insurers left it to the customers to submit all the information with them while insuring their valuables.
Now the government has come into action and proposed a new bill of Disclosure and Representations before the Parliament to safeguard the benefits of the consumer. According to the bill the insurer is needed to ask the customer specifically about all the facts required for claim while buying the policy. The new Consumer Insurance Bill leaves no loopholes and excuses for the insurers for not paying the claim.
Even if any customer makes a mistake while answering a question in the insurance application then also he will be entitled to get some claim as there will be no claim rejection now.
