Motorbike insurance is much like car insurance in that it comes in many different shapes and sizes. There is comprehensive insurance, third party, various add ons and all manner of extras in there. Of course, this all depends on the different insurers that you choose to look at because different insurers will have different features. However, if you want to ride your bike anywhere but the road you may not be insured under any of the motorbike insurance options you look at.

Off road scrambling is a rush and many bikers love to do it every now and again but only select policies actually cover off road activities because it is much more dangerous and the likelihood is that the bike will get a little damaged, or even totalled if you hit a particularly rough patch of the road.

Gulf Coast Tourism Outlook Looking Bleak

As the oil spill in the Gulf Coast caused by BP continues to create problems with no end in sight, local citizens who make their living in their tourism industry must deal with the realities of a bleak outlook. Tourists do not appear to be including the area in their travel plans, and many of those who were considering it are cancelling their plans.

An informal poll found at cnn.com/travel does not offer much hope to area residents. It shows that 92% of respondents will not be planning any travel to the region in the near future. In all likelihood, if a person resides in the state of Michigan the chances are that their rates for automobile coverage are among the highest in the nation; as a matter of fact, residents in the city of Detroit pay extremely high premiums to insure their vehicles and in some cases it can be somewhat unaffordable to own an automobile. There is one major reason why premiums in MI are so high and it is because the state has the most comprehensive no-fault car insurance system in the country; this in turn requires motorists to purchase high levels of coverage which translates into increased rates.

Although many disagree with how expensive Michigan auto insurance can be, it does provide a lot of protection for residents and policyholders and is worth paying for if intending on operating a vehicle.

According to a 2009 poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation, six out of ten people have skilled or delayed healthcare because of the cost.
