International health insurance makes for a wise investment for anyone traveling or living overseas. However, to make sure you get the maximum value from your plan, it is important that you carefully read its details.

While these types of insurance policies may be much more flexible than the coverage options you are familiar with in your domestic experience, they are not without limitations and exclusions. You need to be aware of what these are so you do not expect to have a procedure covered only to find out it is not.

For example preexisting conditions will not be covered by most policies. Neither will many types of preventative care. Read full article…

Cheap Car Insurance & Road Rage

An article about a recent study on drivers over the age of 55 caught my eye today. The findings were interesting but it was not that as much as the cheap car insurance statistics that were revealed as a result. The study determined how concerned various groups of drivers were about road rage and found that the over 55s were more concerned than individuals in other age groups.

It also revealed that 91% of comprehensive car insurance policies do not cover road rage and 92% of those do not cover car jacking either. A pathetic 9% cover both. As a result of this, you could find that you are unfortunate enough to be the victim of road rage or car jacking and sustain extensive car damage and yet you will not be covered.

There is no need to insure the car for more than it’s worth. If your car is totaled, you’ll only be able to get the value of what the car was worth anyway. Experts say it may be OK to drop collision and comprehensive coverage if your car is worth less than ten times the premium.

2. Raise Y

Study: Individual Insurance Plans Increasing Over Last Year

A new study released by the Kaiser Health Foundation found that millions of people who pay for their own insurance are facing big increases in premium costs. The study says that most people in the US get health insurance through an employer, but there are 14 million under the age of 65 who purchase it through the individual market. And three out of four of those people have recently been told their rates were on the rise.

The study found that the average recent rate increase was 20 percent. Most are paying the increase, but some are switching plans or changing to a different company.
